Founded in 2011 by Matthew King, Crown Group is a full-service real estate development and general contracting firm specializing in luxury multi-family and custom residential projects.

Matthew, a Valdosta native, graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2009 with dual degrees in Concrete Industry Management Engineering Technologies and Construction Management, along with a minor in Business Management and Marketing.

After graduation, Matthew began his career at Scruggs Concrete Company in Valdosta, Georgia. During this time, he purchased a distressed 12-unit multi-family complex for $200,000, which he personally renovated in his spare time. Upon completion, he sold the property for $450,000—igniting a passion for multi-family development that would define his career.

Following that success, Matthew left Scruggs Concrete to pursue real estate development full-time, reinvesting his profits into a 30-unit bank-owned complex. From 2015 through 2022, he and his team have developed and sold over $300 million in real estate and currently have more than $325 million in active projects.

Crown Group has also built over 100 custom single-family homes across South Georgia. With deep roots in the community, our team continues to expand throughout the region, maintaining a strong reputation for quality, trust, and client satisfaction.
